About

The people behind Pulse N' Paint.

Pulse N' Paint is led by Ernest Rolnik and Damian Demkowicz. Ernest keeps finish direction and craftsmanship close to the work, while Damian keeps communication, scheduling, and delivery practical from first enquiry to final review.

Finish direction and day-to-day communication stay close to the people delivering the work.

Owner / Lead Decorator

Ernest Rolnik

Over 15 years of hands-on decorating experience across London homes, with a finish-led eye for light, material, and detail.

Business Partner / Operations

Damian Demkowicz

Damian keeps communication, scheduling, and project coordination tight so finish-sensitive work stays organised from first enquiry through handover.

How the business works

The studio takes on decorating and finish-sensitive work where preparation, application, and detailing all matter. That includes painting and decorating, limewash, wallpaper hanging, cabinetry and joinery refinishing, and selected spray finishes.

What Ernest and Damian keep close to the work

Surface condition, finish suitability, and the final visual atmosphere are reviewed carefully before work begins, while communication and programme decisions stay grounded in the actual job rather than generic sales language.

  • Finish direction led by Ernest, with owner-level visibility on surface decisions and detailing.
  • Project coordination and communication kept organised by Damian from enquiry through handover.
  • Careful preparation, protection, and sequencing before visible coats or papers go on.

Working process

The process stays careful because the finish is the point.

01

Consultation & finish direction

We start with the room, the surface, the light, and the atmosphere you want to create so the finish direction is practical as well as beautiful.

02

Preparation & application

Protection, surface preparation, and material handling are treated as seriously as the finish itself, whether the brief calls for wallpaper, limewash, or sharp decorating.

03

Detailing & handover

Every edge, seam, and touch-up is reviewed before handover so the final result feels complete rather than simply finished.
